At this stage pupils begin secondary education, where they reinforce the fundamentals skills they have already acquired, discover new subjects and a new organisation (for example, a different teacher for each subject).
Middle School offers a wide range of subjects to study: French, English, German, Croatian, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physical and Sports Education, Arts, Music, History and Geography, Technology.
“Le College” is divided into four years (6e, 5e, 4e, 3e), during which the teaching of languages, provided by native speakers, is particularly present: as well as deepening English and Croatian, German is introduced from the 6e class. This gives each student the opportunity to master four languages from the very first years of Middle School.
Le College offers a wide range of subjects to study: French, English, German, Croatian, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physical and Sports Education, Arts, Music, History and Geography, Technology. If pupils are non-French speakers, specific classes of French as a Foreign Language will then be specifically introduced in their timetable.
Tutoring and dedicated study time is offered for all years, which gives every pupil the chance to work and study according to their own profile and needs.
The benefit of belonging to the Eurocampus takes particular significance for this age group: with both the French and German schools on the same site children share the same classrooms and teachers several times a week, notably for foreign languages and sport.
At the end of the Collège pupils are invited to sit the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) a nationally recognised certification of completion of their first nine years of schooling.
Croatian citizens and residents
Children who are Croatian citizens and residents are offered additional courses in: Croatian Language, Geography and History all taught in Croatian language following Croatian Curriculum approved by Croatian Ministry of Education. This offers them easier move to Croatian Schooling System.
This programme is organised by Eurocampus for Croatian citizens and residents from both schools: French International School of Zagreb and German International School of Zagreb.
